Our Commitment To Privacy –  Your privacy is important to us. The following privacy policy explains our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.  By accessing Smith-Dahmerʼs internet-based research tools, you consent to this privacy policy.

The Information We Collect –  Smith-Dahmer collects a wide range of information depending on what product or service is involved and depending on the information needs. Here are some examples of the types of personal information we may collect and how we may use it:

Through our online surveys, we may collect basic contact information from customers or our clients, such as contact name, email, address, and telephone. We use this information for survey invitations.  The online survey may further ask for demographic information such as income, residence location, education level, etc.  None of this information is used for marketing or sales purposes by Smith-Dahmer.  Survey invitations will also include a link to unsubscribe from further surveys sponsored by the Smith-Dahmer client.

Our online journal and focus group platforms are used for market research purposes through contracted third party researcher vendors around the world.  Smith-Dahmer may require each user to create a log-in credential (usually an email address and user-defined password).  Smith-Dahmer researchers utilizing these platforms may collect and share personal information as part of the research process, however, any such data is collected for Smith-Dahmer research purposes and is our property.  None of the personal information collected in the research process is shared with third party vendors or clients without permission from research participants.

The Way We Use Information –  The data collected on our various research tools help us develop, deliver, and improve products and services for clients. Smith-Dahmer will not sell, distribute, or otherwise release any personal information it collects to any third party without permission from research participants.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, if it becomes necessary by law or legal process for Smith-Dahmer to disclose your personal information, we may do so upon the determination that such disclosure is legally necessary or appropriate. In addition, in the event of reorganization, merger, or sale, we may transfer any and all personal information to the relevant third party.

Our Commitment To Data Security – To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place certain physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to help safeguard the information we collect online.
